Liw Liwa (often written “Liwliwa”) is a small surf and river community in San Felipe, Zambales — about 4–5 hours north of Manila. Here’s how to reach us.
🚌 By public transport (bus)
- From Manila (Cubao or Pasay) or Olongapo, take a Victory Liner bus heading to Iba / Santa Cruz (Zambales).
- Ask the driver to drop you at San Felipe Market (also called San Felipe town proper).
- From the market, take a tricycle to Riverside Liwa (near Hide In / Hide Out Resorts). Tell the driver “Riverside, Liwa”.
- Then you can cross our bamboo bridges — from there it’s about a 5-minute walk to the cabin.
🚗 By car
- Search “Riverside Liwa” or “Hide Out Resort” on Google Maps and follow the directions.
- Park in front of our bridges or along the roadside (free parking).
- Message us your ETA and we’ll guide you in.
🌉 The last stretch: our bamboo bridges
One of the things that makes Riverback unique is the journey itself. To reach the island, you’ll cross three handmade bamboo bridges. They’re sturdy and most guests get used to them within seconds.
We recommend bringing only light luggage to make the walk more comfortable. As access involves crossing the bridges on foot, our homestay is unfortunately not suitable for elderly guests or guests with mobility limitations.
📍 Once you arrive
- Please send us your estimated time of arrival ahead of time so we can meet you.
- Check-in is between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM (no check-in after 8 PM).
- Phone signal in Liwa is weak — connect to our island-wide WiFi (~40 Mbps) once you’re here.
